Bio

Pedro Lacruz is a Venezuelan guitarist, arranger, composer and producer currently living in The United States. His experience on stage and recording studios began in 2011 with his first Metal group, Metal – Ash.

In 2014 he received an award as Young Guitarist at the Sibelius Fest electric guitar festival, Venezuela edition. That same year he began his studies at E.I.M. (Venezuela) and C.A.E.M.S.A (Argentina).

He participated for 6 months as guitarist in Zombies No, a Venezuelan band of great international renown of Hardcore/Punk, playing in front of more than 10,000 people and who is currently touring Europe.

He has performed in different genres, from jazz, salsa, blues to rock and progressive metal, he has also collaborated in the work of various artists and groups such as Mumba Sound, Giuliana Lowlands, Ven Zen, Confractus, Kenn, 4 Signos, Gustavo Elis, Yael Krausz, Breed and Mysthaven.

Having completed more than 200 work sessions both live and in the studio with multiple artists and musicians around the world, he has been featured in various original and independent music publications as well as arrangements for the Simón Bolívar Jazz Big Band.

 


 

In April 2020, during the Covid - 19 pandemic, he decides to explore new genres, the result was the EP titled "Lost for words" (Quarantine Sessions), oriented to Filmscore, where he includes his electric guitar and focuses on a minimalist, melancholic sense, and sometimes a bit chaotic. That same year he associates with "Newgate guitars" as Endorser to the Argentinian brand with 6 and 7 string guitars.

He has participated as a musical transcriptionist in Ultimate Guitar and Ultimate Guitar TV, the largest Internet sheet music catalog founded in Russia, which currently operates in San Francisco, USA.

In 2021 he is contacted by the renowned guitarist Felix Martin from his company "FM Guitars" making him part of the Artist Staff with a 16-string guitar, expanding Pedro's technical and musical language through 6, 7, 8 and 16 strings and invited to play at the famous "NAMM Show", the largest exhibition of musical products in the world that is held every year in California, USA.

In 2024 he started composing and recording in Mysthaven, a Symphonic Metal project where he plays guitar, flute and the arabic oud.

He is currently working on a new EP as a soloist projected to the Rock and Progressive Metal genre with experimental nuances with a release date of 2026.
